First, thanks to Pesadelo for implementing this!
You should notice a new option in the drop down search in Playlist/Requests.
By selecting Genre you now have the ability to:
- Free search for genres.
- Filter the browse functions.
- Filter the suggest a random track function.
- Displays total albums and songs in filter. _________________ "Darling, nothing is final 'til you're dead, and even then, I'm sure God negotiates." -Baroness Rodmilla De Ghent

Is there a listing of which "genres" are being used here one EFM?
I just noticed "Trip-Goth" genre...and I'm interested in seeing all genres displayed when selecting this option.
Perhaps another separate pull-down can be added when selecting "genre"?
Thanks!

We decided not to do the drop-down because it requires much too maintenance on our end to keep up with the genres. They can become pretty complicated sometimes because a lot of genres are mixed and are subjective. That's why we chose search instead. DFM is the most extreme example of genre madness. _________________ "Darling, nothing is final 'til you're dead, and even then, I'm sure God negotiates." -Baroness Rodmilla De Ghent |

OK. How bout this?
When searching an "album", the year is shown on the far right side. Can another column be added to the search results that would indicate the genre?
For that matter, when searching album, artist, or title, can the extra column be added to the search results?

Hey, Max, I think your idea is cool.
I did not had included the genre column for all searches to keep the original aspect of them since genre column steals a lot of width from the table.
Anyway I shared the idea with JERIC and Admins. I'll keep you informed. |
